Eitan Beth-Halachmy and his lovely wife, Debbie, spent two weeks here regaining his strength following his discharge from the hospital in Kentucky.  He was weak and pale when he arrived but his determination to get back to riding pushed him to walk a little more each day.  Soon he was walking out to the barn "just to see what was happening."  He flew home to California and continued his recovery there and is now back riding Santa Fe Renegade.  A remarkable man and a remarkable recovery!

Baby news!  We had a lovely palomino filly born on May 13th.

Peach is a big girl now and weaned. Her coat color continued to darken and we ordered a coat color test from UC Davis which confirmed that she is a palomino. Dr. Nick's suggestion of "Legally Blond" is now her registered name. The Peach is a love and prefers chatting up her dad, Holiday Compadre, to visiting with her mother or the other rather boring mares. She is furry in her winter coat and very much in charge of her world. We are trying not to spoil her; wish us luck with that!  Peach is offered for sale.

We do our homework before we breed; we look at the individual mare both in terms of conformation and disposition, her foals, the stallions and the pedigrees. Once a mare is in foal, the long wait begins. We are with our mares when they foal; it is such a marvelous time. The young horses are handled from birth and demonstrate the typical people oriented Morgan attitude. They receive optimum preventative veterinary care and as well as regular trimming. Most of our young horses are started here at home; we let them tell us what their special career should be. We pride ourselves on finding the right situation and home for our horses.
